Welcome! My name is Vanessa Saenz, and I am excited that you have allowed me the opportunity to help you on your journey. My goal is to walk with you through these life challenges and help with providing a safe place where you can feel accepted and understood. I understand that every person is not the same or has the same experience; therefore, my goal is for my clients to leave each session feeling heard and supported.
I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from the University of North Texas and Masters in Counseling at Texas A&M Commerce. I have worked in a variety of settings, including behavioral health in the community, the juvenile justice department, and in the educational setting with at-risk youth.
I work with children/ adolescents dealing with boundary issues, depression, anxiety and grief and loss. I am bilingual and comfortable providing bilingual services. I use a variety of treatment modalities including, mindfulness, CBT, play therapy, art therapy and DBT. My unique life experiences have provided me with the compassion and understanding to help others.
