Psychiatric Care for Children, Adolescents, Adults, and Families

At Conscious Freedom, we believe mental health treatment is most effective when it addresses the whole person—not just symptoms. Our medication management services are designed to work alongside therapy, providing comprehensive psychiatric care that supports children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families throughout every stage of life.

Our Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioners (PMHNPs) collaborate closely with our therapists, clients, families, primary care providers, and other members of your healthcare team to develop thoughtful, individualized treatment plans focused on long-term wellness.

Whether medication is being considered for the first time or you are looking for ongoing psychiatric care, our goal is to ensure you feel heard, informed, and actively involved in every treatment decision.

What Is Medication Management?

Medication management is more than simply prescribing medication. It is an ongoing partnership between you and your psychiatric provider to ensure your treatment remains safe, effective, and aligned with your goals.

During appointments, your provider may:

  • Complete comprehensive psychiatric evaluations
  • Review current symptoms and concerns
  • Discuss treatment options
  • Prescribe psychiatric medications when clinically appropriate
  • Monitor medication effectiveness
  • Evaluate potential side effects
  • Adjust medications as needed
  • Coordinate care with your therapist and medical providers
  • Provide education regarding medications and expected outcomes

Every recommendation is individualized based on your unique history, symptoms, goals, and overall health.

Conditions We Commonly Treat

Our psychiatric providers evaluate and treat a wide range of mental health concerns, including, but not limited to:

  • Anxiety Disorders
  • Depression
  • Trauma and PTSD
  • ADHD
  • Mood Disorders
  • Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD)
  • Panic Disorder
  • Bipolar Disorders
  • Sleep Concerns
  • Women's Mental Health
  • Emotional Regulation Difficulties
  • Stress-Related Disorders
  • Adjustment Disorders

If medication is not the best course of treatment, we will discuss alternative recommendations and collaborate with you to determine the most appropriate plan of care.

Whole Family Mental Health Care

Mental health affects the entire family, and treatment often works best when providers collaborate.

Conscious Freedom provides integrated behavioral health services for:

  • Children
  • Adolescents
  • Adults
  • Couples
  • Families

Because medication management and therapy are offered within the same practice, our providers can communicate and coordinate care when appropriate and with your consent. This collaborative approach helps ensure treatment remains consistent, comprehensive, and focused on your overall well-being.

Seeking psychiatric care is an important step toward improving your mental health, and you don't have to navigate it alone.

At Conscious Freedom, we believe medication should be considered one tool within a comprehensive treatment plan; not the entire treatment.

Our providers work together to ensure each aspect of treatment complements the others, creating a coordinated plan that supports lasting growth and healing.

Your First Appointment

Your initial psychiatric evaluation typically includes:

  • Review of current symptoms
  • Medical and mental health history
  • Previous medications and treatment experiences
  • Family mental health history
  • Current concerns and treatment goals
  • Discussion of treatment recommendations
  • Opportunity to ask questions

If medication is recommended, your provider will explain the benefits, risks, potential side effects, and expected timeline so you can make informed decisions about your care.
