I’m Dr. Ashley Schaub, a licensed psychologist specializing in psychological and psychoeducational assessments. I primarily work with children and adolescents, helping families better understand how their child thinks, learns, experiences emotions, and interacts with the world around them.
My approach to assessment is person-centered, strengths-based, and collaborative. Families often seek an evaluation because something is not working as well as they would like, but difficulties are only one part of the picture. I am equally interested in what a child does well, what makes them unique, and the environments and supports that allow them to thrive. My goal is to create a warm, comfortable space where children and families can be themselves, ask questions, and feel genuinely heard throughout the process.
My background includes extensive experience working with children, families, and schools. I have particular expertise in evaluating autism, ADHD, learning differences, and a range of developmental, cognitive, emotional, and behavioral concerns. As both a licensed psychologist and Licensed Specialist in School Psychology (LSSP), I am especially interested in connecting assessment findings to a child’s everyday life, including how they function at home, at school, and in their relationships with others.
I believe a good evaluation should leave families with more than a diagnosis and a stack of test scores. I want families to walk away understanding their child better, including their strengths, their needs, and what may help moving forward. Sometimes the most useful outcome of an evaluation is finally having language for things a child or family has understood intuitively for a long time.
