Hello there!
My name is Alma Farias (I go by Liz), and my heart is filled with love and gratitude for the opportunity to be on this journey with you and your child. As you currently take the first steps to seek help, know that as a parent myself I understand it can be difficult and overwhelming. Collaboratively we will work together to achieve your desired outcomes.
My focus as a social worker has been working with Children and Families. I have a diverse background from practicing in a school setting, behavioral hospital, and homeless shelter, to volunteering with grief support groups. I am bilingual and can work with Spanish speaking families. I have in-depth training working with early childhood and can serve children ages 3-9. As a former Special Education teacher, I also have 6 years of experience working with children who have special needs. Using Child-Centered Play Therapy, Trauma-Informed Care, and Cognitive Behavior Therapy I can work with clients who are dealing with behavioral issues, interpersonal conflict, adjustment issues, depression, anxiety, grief, experiencing trauma, etc. My services are exclusively in the office.
By seeking help, you are taking strides in the right direction and that’s commendable. I look forward to this journey with you and your child!
Kindly at your service,
Alma L. Farias, LMSW
